The 'biscuit tin bashers' debut at no.10 in the Whole Lotta Shakin Radio show’s boss top 20 (6 April show) with I’m Gone on Ballgroove (sic) records! This is their typo but it could be the new garage sub label of Ballagroove!

you gotta get this even for just 'cardinal jack' alone,a truely thumping song you will love for the rest of your life! What fun this album is ,its getting great radio reviews and it sounds alive.If your cool and you dont know if this is cool ,the art work on the cd is so cool that that your mates will say thats cool, which means your cool too .This is a good record .

Shame I once again didn't make it to Bristol, I'd not been home too long and was too slack to sort out the travel, sorry! I'll do better next time.

Prog cubed indeed. Ah yes. Thanks for passing the CDs on Stef, I think Rob said he'd managed to cobble some replacements out of our dwindling stock and sent them to you. Let me know if you didn't get 'em and I'll see what I can do (although actually I haven't got copies myself, so I don't know how that would work!?) Hope you're enjoying the new album. Seed's sax is definitely a high point. Gyp/Jo - thank you so much for coming down the other night. It was great to see you, and sorry we didn't get chance to chat more - was a bit of a mad night and I seemed to be stuck on the merch' table for most of it so didn't get chance to talk to most of the people I wanted to. I hope you had fun anyhow, and enjoyed the pretty visualy (and the music of course!) Hope all is well over there. I think there are plans in motion to flog the album on our site, so if there's anyone wanting a copy, it should be possible pretty soon via technology of t'interweb. See y'all at Christmas for a cosy pint of Bushy's in the Bay.

Thanks for the comments, sure the boys will appreciate them We're hopefully recording the Tholtan Builders in November or December so with a bit of luck the CD should be out early next year. We're all looking forward to it, should be great fun and I'm sure the album will be brilliant.

I was in Manxland in December and saw Thalton's Builders in Port St. Mary, and loved the show!

... and i must massively thank: dirtyK, JQ, martin and tommo for providing a damn fine group of musicians to back me up on this one... no mean feat considering the album was 3 years in the studio with no real forethought to playing live...
and an equally huge thanks to nicky from cochahiba for providing the initial beautiful vocals on some of the tracks that also made me realise i wanted vocals on them all... raised the bar for me to a level it really needed...
... and in that thanks, i also thank Wee Bonzo Trev for first suggesting when he heard me play him a first mix of "two by two" ... i said it really wants a sweet jazz voice over the top... and he said "how about nicky from cochahiba" ... the rest, as they say, is history...
and bigger than big thanks to ballagroove for the sponsorship and promotion of the CD and my noises.

What an ace gig !!!!
Last time I saw the Tholtans was in the Vaults at the Bay Port Erin, this time in the Gaiety, bit of a contrast !!!!
Blinding set, really entertaining, great fun
Enjoyed Hayseed Dixie too, but for me the Tholtans stole the show, great to see the full band back together and especially nice to see Paul over (come back more often ya bugga !!)

Fucking fan-fucking-tastic!!!!!!
What an awsome gig, loved playing the Gaeity (bizarre as it was) - big stage, no smoking, no-where to dance.....
Had a brilliant time, - the 'Dixies were totally awsome, and what a fine bunch of lads they are too - went & had a few beers with them in the Empress after the gig, no ego's, just a bunch of top blokes up for some fun & giggles and more beers - would love to go for a few pints with them any day of the week.
Not in the 'boss's' good books - missed turning up for work this morning, - but it was well worth it!!!!!
Many thanks to Mark Cleator for sorting out the sound, he did a brilliant job for us on stage regarding monitors & all that stuff, and I'm sure a really good sound for the audience.
Many thanks to our local supporters too, lovely to see many familiar faces.
Still buzzing my tit's off from this one, can we do it again next year Lenny (pretty please!!!!)?

What an absolutely ace gig ! The Builders would like to thank all our loyal fans for coming along and making it so much fun. Hayseed Dixie were fabulous, weren't they?
The Builders have more TT nonsense coming up,
on Mad Sunday night, on the Spirit Stage in front of the Bay Hotel on Port Erin prom at 8.00 PM and in Bushy's tent at the Bottleneck on Douglas prom on Friday, Senior Race day,at about the same time.

I heard a copy of the EP minus the mighty Coma Ballagroove mix last night. I am slathering at the bit to get a copy. It is loaded with monster tunes, energy and meaningful lyrics!
